Venue Tours
& AVAILABILITY
Yes, we’d love to show you around! Viewings are available 7 days a week.
However, if a wedding is taking place, viewings are limited to mornings to
ensure we respect the privacy of the event.
If an in-person visit isn’t possible, we’re happy to arrange a virtual tour via Zoom or Teams.
Please contact us directly to check our availability for your desired date.
On-Site
ACCOMMODATION
Yes, we do! We offer two wedding suites and the Bedroom Barn, which
includes an additional 10 ensuite bedrooms:
- 5 double rooms
- 1 family room (sleeps up to 4)
- 2 family rooms (each sleeps up to 6)
- 1 twin/super king room
- 1 apartment with 1 double room and 1 twin room.
These rooms are block-booked by the wedding couple to ensure availability.
The couple automatically reserves all guest bedrooms for the wedding night. If
the venue is available the night before, you’ll have the option to reserve them
for that evening as well. A minimum of 8 rooms must be block-booked.
Payment is made by the couple, and it’s entirely up to you how to allocate the
rooms and whether to charge your guests.
Absolutely! All overnight guests enjoy a hot breakfast served at 9:30 am.
Wedding suites include a breakfast for the wedding party, served in the Brook
Bar the morning after your wedding.
Bookings
& PAYMENTS
To secure your date, we require a £1,000 deposit, which is refundable within
the first 30 days. A second payment of £2,000 is due 9 months before your
wedding. Your final payment will be calculated 8 weeks prior to your wedding,
once we have your final guest numbers. All payments must be made via
BACS (bank transfer).
Yes! Once we receive your deposit, you’ll receive a booking form to complete.
This information allows us to create and send your booking confirmation.
Ceremony
& LEGALITIES
Absolutely! Our venue is exclusively yours for the day—we only host one
wedding per day.
The ceremony fee covers the use of our ceremony space, staff, and
preparation. Please note, the registrar’s fees are not included.
Unfortunately, we are unable to contact the registrars on your behalf for legal
reasons. You can reach East Lancashire Registrars at 0300 123 6705.
Pre-Wedding
MEETINGS & PLANNING
This is up to you! Many couples opt for a meeting either 6 or 12 months in
advance (via Teams) and a final in-person meeting 8 weeks before the big
day. The only mandatory meeting is the final one, which can also be done
virtually if needed.
Yes, we kindly ask all couples to have a basic wedding insurance policy in
place when confirming your booking.
Food
AND DRINK
- Food: The only external food permitted is your wedding cake. We’ll require an ingredients and allergens list beforehand.
- Alcohol: Generally, no outside alcohol is permitted. On rare occasions, corkage can be arranged in advance with prepayment.
Of course! We have an outdoor reception bar, and our Brook Bar opens out
onto the balcony for your guests to enjoy.
We offer optional menu tastings at the start of the year for couples getting
married that year. This is an additional cost and includes a variety of dishes to
sample. Please contact your wedding manager to arrange a tasting.
All catering is done in-house. If you have specific requests or dietary
requirements, we’ll do our best to accommodate.
Entertainment
AND SETUP
For weddings with over 100 evening guests, a professional DJ from DFC is
included in your package. You’re welcome to book additional entertainment,
such as a band or musician, though most couples choose to stick with DFC
given their industry-leading expertise.
Our dedicated wedding team handles the set-up on the morning of your
wedding. For more elaborate setups (e.g., arches or hanging decorations), a
wedding stylist may be needed to assist.
We don’t have a sound limiter, but we use an integrated sound and lighting
system throughout the venue. This system ensures sound levels remain
comfortable and safe for all. All DJs and musicians are required to plug into
this system.
Yes, both are available for you to use free of charge throughout the day.
Pets and other
CONSIDERATIONS
Yes, we welcome your furry friends! Dogs can stay with you during the day,
though the evening reception may be too noisy for them. We suggest options
like nearby kennels, pet day-care services, or even a dog sitter to ensure their
comfort.
As we’re a working dairy farm, only silent fireworks are permitted. Sparklers
are also allowed and make for stunning photos.
Yes, cars may be left overnight, but we kindly ask they are collected by 11 am
the next day. Please note, possessions left in vehicles are at your own risk.
Getting
READY
We offer two wedding suites:
- One suite allows a member of the couple to stay overnight and prepare for the big day.
- The Den is perfect for the other member to arrive on the morning of the wedding, get ready, and relax.
This setup allows both of you to prepare on-site, with plenty of photo opportunities for your photographer to capture those special moments.
